we picked up the 海角七號 soundtrack at the airport. i had high hopes for the movie based on reviews and the soundtrack, but the movie is slightly painful to watch... i like the lyrics to this song though - it's happy and romantic.

i've come to realize i'm a bad doggie parent. even though [c] has put dozer on a pretty strict diet of doggie food only, i'm still always tempted to give him pieces of bacon or cheese... and while dozer knows lots of tricks the only one i've ever taught him was "kiss". he has yet to learn "go to daddy" - to which he gets way too excited. he knows he's getting a treat so he just prance around all excitedly and wag himself silly...

i love that dozer is always so happy. despite having been a shelter doggie and having had a traumatizing puppyhood, he's so incredibly sweet and loving. it's wonderful how his tail ways like prairie grass in the wind and how his one floppy ear is always flopping around when he walks. it's even funny how adhd he is. but my most favorite thing is the pure love and loyal affection he has when he's looking at [c]. it's one of the sweetest things in the world.

i'm normally most fond of modern (sureal, abstract, art nouveau), contemporary (digital, photoreal), romantic, neoclassic, and renaissance art... i'm also very fond of islamic, indian, asian, religious, and middle eastern details. it could be influenced by recent travels? i think "traditional" is an interesting way to identify my strong affinity towards cultural and historic influences. :)
